Jennie Jackson, designer
I design, hand dye and hand print in my studio at home in Reigate. I employ multiple processes and layering to create unique and distinctive pieces with a contemporary mid-century feel. I graduated from Norwich School of Art (now NUA) with a degree in Graphic Design and worked in London design agencies for ten years. I now apply my understanding of design and colour to textiles working mostly on linen.

Traditional printing techniques
I love traditional, hand printed techniques and most of my products are created this way. What’s special is that no two lampshades in any design will ever be the same. Placement of elements will differ slightly from piece to piece, and as printing is done in small batches there will inevitably be slight variations in colour mixes. This means each item is unique and while, of course, the design will be the design you order and rigorously checked and quality controlled, the natural inconsistencies of hand made is part of the product you buy. Some products – mostly scarves – are now made using digital printing which has come on leaps and bounds in recent years. Where this is the case (and hand printing is still my preferred) I state clearly on the product pages.
Some items are made to order and will usually take about four weeks to make but please get in touch if you require the item sooner.
Please use the contact page if you have any further questions.
