Sculpture Garden
Inspired by Barbara Hepworth’s garden studio, Barnoon Hill, St Ives.
Individually printed Roman Blinds. Each one depicts a scene through a window and are inspired by artists who have tackled this same theme. I’m fascinated by the idea. Henri Matisse, Patrick Heron, Ben Nicholson… many of my favourite artists have tackled a view through a window. My contribution to the genre was to pay homage to them with my own twist. I thought it would be fun to close the blinds at night and transform a room into an art gallery. When the blinds are down, instead of a simple pattern or flat colour, you get an image of another world outside – the harbour at St Ives, the French Riviera, mountains and coastline.
I have also translated my existing designs, and all the ranges below can also be commissioned as wall hangings.
Hand printed on medium weight Linen in my Reigate studio and professionally made locally. See below for more details.
Due to logistics of posting abroad, orders can only be accepted from the UK
