Commissioning textiles design is always exciting. For both the designer and the client. I can create designs to fit broader design schemes or if a client has specific design ideas they wish to discuss. If you are thinking about commissioning please use the contact details below. And of course, be aware, commissioning design may carry an additional design process cost. Design is an iterative process and can take time but can be hugely satisfying.

Important information and terms
Here at Jennie Jackson we are trying to offer products that are kinder to the environment. All lampshades (from Summer ’23) will now be made with an eco-card backing, making all products on offer completely plastic free. IMPORTANT – PLEASE USE A MODERN LED BULB THAT IS COOL TO THE TOUCH WHEN LIT
Most Lampshades are made to order
After selecting the required design click on the drop down menu, select the size and fitting. If ‘available to back order’ appears you are still able to check out. I will then contact you with lead times which will usually be around three weeks.
Delivery
Lampshades will be sent via courier and will need to be signed for. You will get a notification from the courier company stating day of delivery, and will be notified in the morning of the one hour time slot.
Please be aware that some pigments used may be sensitive to UV light. To keep your products in good condition do not keep in direct sunlight.-
Lampshades
Clean with a feather duster or low setting on your vacuum cleaner.
Cushions
Hand wash or cold machine wash. Spot clean or Dry clean.
DO NOT TUMBLE DRY
Dry flat and iron whilst still slightly damp.
The linen will soften with age and with washing.
Scarves
Dry clean only.
Bags
Hand wash or cold machine wash. Or spot clean.

Most items on offer at Jennie Jackson are made to order. This reduces waste meaning we don’t hold excess stock.
All products are printed by hand in our studio, or in a UK based printing house.
Any items that are outsourced (for printing or sewing) are made by skilled craftspeople who are paid fairly for their work. Larger bags are made by a UK based social enterprise.
Waste is reduced by using offcuts. They are made into smaller items such as purses, pencil cases or lavender bags.
Designs are printed in eco-friendly inks approved by The Soil Association. Where dyes are used (from Spring ’23) these are G.O.T.S certified.
Post and packing is included on all orders.
Small items will be sent via Royal Mail. Larger items will be sent via courier and you will receive a notification from them with a delivery date.
In stock items will be shipped usually within two working days. Some items are made to order, delivery times are stated on the listing. (Available on back order will appear on the listing) If an item is out of stock I will contact you.
All smaller items are sent by Royal Mail so you should receive your order within three – four working days.
Larger items are sent by courier and will need to be signed for.
Items sent to Europe will take around five working days, the rest of the world, seven working days, please get in touch before ordering from outside the UK.
The website is set for UK customers only. We welcome customers from overseas, but please get in touch for a shipping quote and to order. Please see the ‘How long will delivery take’ section for more information on timings.
Unfortunately lampshades cannot be sent overseas and cushions will be sold without the inner pad.
We only keep your information in order to fulfill your order. We do not hold it on this website. When you leave your data is lost. If you’ve signed up for our newsletter then your email address is kept securely in our Mailchimp account, your original email from the website sign up will then be deleted. We do not share your details with anyone else.
The padlock in the browser window shows you that the site is secure (SSL Certificate). In addition we’ve added other security measures and firewalls. We’ve taken all reasonable steps we can to make the site secure. No payment information is collected or stored on this site. At checkout you are redirected to Paypal or Stripe – both are secure, established and well respected third party payment platforms.
